A feature story in the Arizona Daily Star featured TOCA's Beginning Farmer Training Program as one solution to the challenges facing the Tohono O'odham Nation. The article features TOCA Farm Apprentice Vernal Sam and other TOCA staff who are working to revitalize Tohono O'odham farming as an important for of empowerment, economic development, health promotion.... as a way of life.
